I am the Intergenerational Worship Team Lead. I lead the FLC praise band and coordinate with all the teams that support FLC Worship. These teams include our sound and video team, online streaming team, handbells, organists, and individual musicians. All of these talented individuals work together to achieve a mission of co-creating a faithful, intergenerational worship experience by modeling that worship in the exercise of our abilities.
Outside of FLC, I am a Principal Customer Experience Program Manager at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2000, my professional career included experiences in the military, ministry, and business. I began my career as a Naval Flight Officer. As an aircraft mission commander and avionics/armament division officer, I conducted multiple deployments in the western Pacific, and Persian Gulf theaters. My last military action was participation in Operation Desert Shield. Upon completing my seminary education, I served as a pastor, preacher, educator, and worship leader for churches in VA, FL, and CO. My business experience also includes serving as a Microsoft Trainer, the General Manager for a contracting firm, and an infrastructure consultant to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
My wife, Deb and I, are the adoptive parents of two boys and also the foster parents of two (now adult) children. We are passionate about meeting the needs of children who are working through the long journey of recovery from trauma.
I have a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy, a Masters in Divinity from the Virginia Theological Seminary, and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Denver.
