This is Mancia (Little M), a mother of my beloved daughter Isabela. Growing up, the biggest influence on my faith is my late father, and my mother who currently lives in Lakewood. They lead by example and empower me to find my path.
Born and raised in a multicultural and multireligious society, my younger sister and I were taught at an early age to respect and embrace one another’s differences. It is in that environment that I have grown to appreciate various teachings and perspectives.
As my late father had hoped, I found my path and faith family at Faith Lutheran in 2014. That journey has been extraordinary because I am copiloting with my inspiring daughter and best friend.
Today, the vision of FAITH leaders who came before us has materialized. Isabela, a junior in Lakewood High School, has established relationships with trusted adults whom she can lean on outside of her home. We have been blessed with church families and children from all walks of life, and women from retreats. Know that we are grateful for your friendship, generosity, and love!
Remarkable things are done by a series of small things brought together. Thank you for the privilege to serve you as a member of this congregation! I hope we can make you and others feel invited, included, and belonged.
