My story is simple. When I hear of a need, I see if I can serve and help. The help is often for parents who need their child or children cared for and watched after. Since 1987, my husband, Lynn, and I have cared for five little ones. When we ask God if this is something we should do, He moves us to say “yes.”
God has given me the gift of “listening” for ways I can help out. This includes caring for little ones, making a meal or a zucchini bread for a neighbor, serving at Denver Rescue Mission, or helping at a fair or event.
Since 1987, it has been mine and my husband’s pleasure to care for five little ones. We saw a need from parents to fulfill a role of caregiver or babysitter. We are very glad to have been able to be there to help out these folks when it was most needed. It has brought us much joy — and I think the parents too.
How You Can Help Me
Pray that God continues to put needs before us and have us recognize and act upon those needs.
