I’ve been in Colorado since 2010. When I first moved here, I did some “church shopping” – visiting various churches in and around Golden. After listening to Sunday messages from both Pastor Peter and Pastor Jane, I knew Faith Lutheran Church was the place for me. The sermons have always been easy to understand, which has allowed me to better accept God’s message and take it into the world. Each week, I understand more and more about how God works in my life, which has helped open my eyes to see the various opportunities He puts in front of me.
I feel my biggest gift is that I have a passion to leave this world a better place. I understand that is an often-used cliche, but it should still resonate with everyone … not only as it relates to our life’s work, but on a daily basis as we live and move in this world. Being able to take that view has helped change my perspective on a day-to-day basis, no matter how big or small the situation.
My mission has taken me to Bolivia. In June of 2015, I went to Monte Rancho with a team from Faith Lutheran, and saw first hand what great work has been being accomplished both by the people of Faith, and Food for the Hungry. Over the course of the next year, I found myself in the situation where my mission and professional life could cross over to help the communities there in Bolivia. We are currently establishing a new solutions-based company where we will provide both electricity and internet services to rural communities in Torotoro.
How You Can Help Me
You can help me with prayer, prayer and more prayer. We jokingly say that our projects are “impossible,” since they have never been done, and we have so much stacked against us. But, with God’s help and blessing we are hopeful for the ability to bring these solutions to the people of Bolivia. From time to time, we will also request monetary donations and computers or smartphones for our work there.
How I Can Help You
I am always happy to give my time and motivation to engage people in areas of service.
