Missional Living
Our lives are not our own. As followers of Jesus our lives should be dedicated to loving God with all that we are, and learning how to love and serve our neighbors. (Jesus kinda commanded it…check it out…Mark 12:28.) Whether that’s our neighbor next door, across the street, on the other side of town or the other side of the world. At Faith we are serious about empowering each other to live as Jesus calls us. We know God is at work in the world and loves it when we join in making a difference in the lives of others. We talk about this way of living as “being on mission with Jesus in the world.”
As we walk on mission with Jesus, our relationship with him develops more as we realize our need for Jesus and the changes he brings to the world, including our own lives. As our relationship deepens with Jesus, we feel the nudges to go out and bring Jesus’ light and love into the world. This is what we call living missionally.
We also know God creates each one of us uniquely and has placed us in this time and place for reasons. He has shaped and molded us, given us skills, talents and abilities so that we will want to join him at work in the world. We call this being the hands, feet and voice of Jesus in the world.
If it sounds overwhelming – don’t worry! We at Faith, understand we exist to help walk with you down this road Jesus has you on. No matter where you are…seeking, searching, longing, figuring it out or walking this road for a long time…we want to walk with you and watch Jesus be at work in and through all our lives.
