The story of Lent is a story of messy middles. Jesus is headed to Jerusalem, but not there yet. Jesus leads a parade, but not the one expected. Jesus is telling stories, but the crowds don’t understand. The story of Lent, the story of our faith, is a story of messy, colorful middles and surprises. So, this season we are journeying into the messy middles of faith and stories remembering our faith is more than this or that, right or wrong, true or false. As we journey, we’ll discover Jesus anew and stretch our own understandings of everything in between the binaries the world gives us.
