When I returned to Colorado in 2015 after having moved away in 1971, Faith Lutheran welcomed me with open arms and became my new family. I had just lost my husband, who was my best friend and a Lutheran pastor. In the process of navigating a new future, finding new friendships and meaningful connections through my involvement at Faith Lutheran as a great source of healing from my loss. It is my hope that others too can find comfort and support at Faith Lutheran. I am honored to be a part of the Faith Church Council with our amazing leadership.
My life has been an adventure since I left Colorado when I was 19 – living on the east coast, moving to Alaska in the 70’s and living off the land (fishing, hunting, gardening, chopping wood) while raising two children that included a lot of hard work. Then, working in a wide variety of professions from everything from a restaurant sourdough bread baker to title insurance and then in banking. Living in Utah and finally circling back once again to Colorado. I look forward to more adventures with my three grandchildren and their families as I continue to enjoy gardening, traveling, theatre, hiking/outdoors, and spoiling my composting worms! (certainly a joke, but somehow had to include them)
